#245 Retro

I found this treasure at an antique mall. Antiquing is not my thing but the mall was a surprise so I checked it out. Patented in 1923, this treat-maker has seen a lot of action. Home-made ice cream is the best, especially if made with peaches or blueberries or strawberries or . . .

    We had one growing up, though it wasn't as classic looking as this. You really got a good arm exercise before you got your end result!

    For a while, I had a Donvier hand-cranked ice cream maker. Fortunately, at the time, I also had enthusiastic young children! Nothing beats home made ice cream.
