This is the only building left in Denver, Idaho, which used to be a bustling town with school, churches, saloons, businesses and homes. The railroad passed it by and so did life. The library lady said this was a granary which is located at a junction and provides shade for the rancher's cattle. It is weathered and neglected, high on the Camas Prairie in north-central Idaho.
amazing how one business decision can change the fate of an entire town.
ReplyDeleteI wish it's walls could talk, I am sure we would hear some stories!
ReplyDeleteWeathered and worn but still useful for the cattle to rest in the shade.
ReplyDeleteCool old structure yet still providing the shade. I liked how you worded your text; The railroad passed it by and so did life." So true. Too bad the Camas Prairie Line is now abandoned. They had the most impressive wooden trestles I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteGreat camera angle showing off the area where the 2nd floor porch roof was. Wonder if the cattle go inside the building.
