Itsy-teeny rain drops grace the petals and leaves of this beautiful rose.
So elegant.
The downside of walking in a rose garden in the rain is, well, you get wet. The upside is you have the garden all to yourself! So much beauty, so little time.
Dark purple lilacs are very vivid to me. Love 'em! This is the view from my kitchen window. I do a happy dance each time I see them, even while washing dishes. Wish they lasted all summer! (PS: the lilacs are a lot darker in person. The photo washes it out a bit.)
Now that it's almost summer, I can get a good shot of my pink/mauve tulips. Red and yellow species seem to be city favorites so I'm glad my backyard offers a variety of color with these pretty ladies.
This piece, also by Dale Chihuly, is displayed in the lounge at the Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. I tried to lighten it up a bit. Lounges have a way of being dark. This hotel doesn't skimp on the artwork!
I'm thinking it's a bouquet of flowers but the tendrils could be underwater, octopus-like? Nah, flowers.
Imagine checking into a hotel with this gorgeous collection of glass flowers above you! Created by Dale Chihuly, they are three to four feet in diameter. Of course, the photo does no justice to the size and "wonderful-ness" of it. Magnificent!
