#49 Chores

One of my weekly chores is to deliver my family's recycling items to the "dumpster." I feel good about not only recycling materials back into use but keeping my landfill contribution to a minimum. We don't have curbside pickup for recycling in our town but that's OK. It's not out of my way to make this stop. I just wish there was a place for glass.
Although green in color, this is not my St. Patrick's Day submission. Wait until tomorrow!

  1. Hi Bobbi,
That's a nice chore. We haven't got anything like that around here. And we don't have curbside recycling either. We have to load it on the truck and drive about 30 miles to a place that takes stuff to recycle. Have a great day!

  2. We are fortunate to have curbside pickup of recyclables so far . . .

  3. Thankfully we have a weekly recycling service, but if we didn't I'd sure make the effort to get it all to a place like this.

  4. That certainly can be a chore, for sure!

  5. What, no curbside pickup? I'll see what I can do! And glass is the problem commodity for sure. We get paid for everything we bring in for recycling (I'm a professional recycler) except for glass. There is a global glut of it and only so much of it can be used for anything. Usually it is used for fill.

And don't listen to Kim. It's no more of a chore than brushing one's teeth, and we do that without fret!
