#219 Patriotic

This year's Idaho Falls 4th of July parade, "100 Years of Patriotism in Bonneville County," had almost 100 entries. I had the privilege of being a part of this ecumenical float sponsored by the Interfaith Community Service Project. My contribution was to oversee the stapling of the letters to make sure the words were in the right order, spelled correctly and evenly spaced.
The quilts and backpacks decorating the float will be donated to several agencies who service needy families. Not pictured on the float are other donations of food, clothing, household linens, paper products, and school supplies. It was a very pleasant morning for parade watching - overcast and in the high sixties. That changed in the afternoon and it promises to be a warm evening for fireworks - no sweatshirts needed. Yippee!

  1. I like that this float is going to help so many people - and it looks like you did a fine job on the lettering.
