#140 Hearts

The season for bleeding hearts is almost over. Aren't they pretty? I don't usually get such a clear close-up.

    When I was five, we lived for a year in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Before that/s we'd live in railroad flats in NYC--Manhattan and Brooklyn. In Lancaster, we had a year with flowers, and there were bleeding hearts, I've never seen them anywhere else, and they always reminds me of that idyllic year.

    I love bleeding hearts with their size gradations and beautiful "design" by Mother Nature. Like charms on a charm bracelet.
