#252 Scattered

One of the things I like about evergreen trees besides the fact that they are EVERGREEN, are the cones. And you would think that since these are my favorite trees that I would know all about them. I think these are spruce cones but I could be wrong. I just like them, even, or especially when they are scattered all over the grass.

    I have a small collection of pine cones that I bring out every Xmas to stick under the tree, but I have to spray them with fake snow for some sort of wintery effect..

    Many years ago my mother crafted a Christmas tree out of pine cones and it is a treasure for her great grandchildren.

    I love all the sizes, shapes, and other variations that pine cones come in..some soft, and some so hard. My Stella loves them too and uses them for toys...throwing them up in the air and then pouncing on them.
